Female hair thinning / loss - have you experienced it and how did you prevent/treat it?
I have a 2 year old son, and guess noticed hair loss after a few months of giving birth. However it seemed to grow back recently, but then started to fall out again.
Could this be stress? I am having a mineral analysis soon too.
Two years ago at age 34 I ended an abusive relationship in divorce, lost alot of money in the process, sold two businesses and moved. About a year later I noticed thinning hair which has been getting worse. I tried hair extensions for six months which mage the problem worse... hair was being pulled out. I have stopped that and am trying recovery solutions.
I am on high dose supplemetns including biotin and L-cystein, am relaxing and exercising, and eating protien and found a scalp treatment from medicsuticals which uses biotin and essential oils to stimulate hair growth cycel.
Do you have nay other ides on what to do that could help or how long it should be before results are realized on the treatment I am on? female thinning hair

Women are accustomed to styling their hair to make their personality shine through. However, not every woman, can enjoy their crowning glory's health all throughout their lives. To the detriment of these prettier species, female hair loss can happen.
It is a widely-known dilemma affecting over 30 million women in the United States alone, which is according to the American Dermatology Academy. It doesn't only affect older women, even girls at a tender age of 15 or 16 can develop this dreaded problem - female hair loss.
What can possibly cause hair loss in women? Here are some of the speculated culprits of female hair loss:
Blame it on your parents.
Yes, genes or having genetic predisposition to succumb to this problem is one of the major causes of hair loss. Checking if your grandma or aunts are suffering from hair loss can help inform you of your future with your tresses. Those with genetic predisposition to develop hair loss usually suffer from androgenic alopecia. It is a condition wherein androgen, a type of hormone which is aplenty with men, interferes with the normal cycle of hair growth. Androgenic alopecia used to be the most popular cause of hair loss.
You could be sick of something.
Sometimes female hair loss is a symptom of an underlying medical condition. Such conditions that can cause female balding include polycystic ovary syndrome. Other conditions include autoimmune disorders. These autoimmune disorders can cause alopecia areata, hair loss in a less dramatic level. Alopecia areata is an inflammatory condition which can make hair come out in patches or clumps.
Medical conditions such as anemia, a viral or fungal infection, anorexia or bulimia, liver disease, essential fatty acid deficiency, zinc deficiency, too much vitamin A, thyroid disorders and other chronic diseases can also be at fault when female hair loss is experienced. Some women who also undergo medications such as chemotherapy or taking in or stopping certain birth pills, amphetamines, bromocriptine, anti-cholesterol agents, etc., can also be one root cause of hair loss.
Other conditions that can cause a certain type of hair loss known as telogen effluvium include crash dieting, child birth, menopause, a traumatic emotional event or surgery. This female hair loss condition is usually temporary and happens because the natural growth cycle of the hair gets altered.
Habits can also cause female hair loss. These habits are hair pulling, overuse of scrunchies, overuse of hair products, etc. Stress can trigger hair pulling and other habits that can cause hair to come out.
So how does female hair loss get treated?
Experts in treating hair loss in female recommend diagnosing the main cause of this condition first before attacking it with any treatment plan.
If your thinning hair is because of an oily scalp, doctors would recommend that you shampoo your hair more frequently.
If it's a habit that is causing hair loss, psychological help is usually of great help. But if it's another medical condition, such as anemia, or thyroid disorder another treatment plan will abate female hair loss. Getting this disorder diagnosed early will also prove to avoid aggravation of this condition. Also, although taking in vitamins won't cure hair loss, a healthy diet replete with the essential vitamins and minerals can help make sure that your hair is in good health, too.

Most people never know why they start to lose their hair. Instead they take the dermatologists word for it that they have a hormone problem or that they have too much stress in their life and give them Rogaine or for men they often prescribe Propecia. Yet you still never know what is actually causing your hair loss or thinning. For men most of the time the answer is genetics but nutrition levels in the hair are often affected more than most know and this has to be handled for any type of regrowth to occur or even to stop the shedding that occurs over a lifetime.
So what if you could tell. How would you deal with it then? What if it was stress that was causing it or what if it was lack of nutrition that should be in your hair? These are a lot of what ifs but the answer can help you to combat hair loss and thinning at any age. MMT Research exclusively offers a microscopic analysis that is only found at MMT Research in the USA. This analysis actually looks at the root of the hair to see what the main problem is that might be causing your thin hair. The analysis is vital to learning about the next steps that you should take to stop your hair problem. Dirt build up, dht, hormonal hair loss, lack of nutrition and more can all be seen in the microscope to help determine the cause of your hair problems.
For deep dirt and clogged follicle problems there are special shampoos and deep cleansers that can help unclog the hair follicle and get oxygen and nutrition back into the hair again. For hormonal problems such as dht also called pattern balding you can find help with enzyme blockers that target the hair receptors to get it back into the growing phase. The truth is that there are products that can help with just about every problem associated with your hair's beauty! Search for Microscopic Hair Analysis to have one performed today. The process is done with hair sent through the mail in a kit after it ihas been purchased.
The hair samples are taken by rubbing your hands through the hair and gently pulling out hairs and then placing them in the bag supplied in the hair analysis kit. Then all you have to do is mail in the sample. It typically takes 3 weeks for results. Each set of results come with a specific list of hair products that should work to help that particular condition. For example if heavy dirt was shown in the picture of the microscope then a specialized shampoo would be recommended to get the deep dirt and product build up removed from around the hair. If hormones were found on the root of the hair then products that block the dht formation and keep it from attaching from the root. This will help to reduce the effect that the hormones has on the hair. Stress can also be seen in hair's that are in the microscope, so if you have had great stress in your life then you would see that their in a yellow color in your microscopic hair photo.
Each analysis comes with a time dated photo and a list of hair photos that show how a hair can have specific problems such as deep dirt that prevents hair growth. It can also show if the person has had serious stress in your life. Stress can come from loss of job or the stress on the body that comes from a certain diet. Stress can be from a multitude of sources. The analysis cannot determine what caused the stress, only that there is stress in the hair. Hormonal hair problems can also be determined by the microscopic hair analysis. The microscopic hair analysis can be the best approach to determining what is causing your hair problems.
